BRIAN CULBERTSON
Brian holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Evansville. Upon graduation he immediately began working in the mortgage industry as a loan originator for a large nationwide mortgage lender. He quickly became one of the top producing agents company wide. Within a year, Brian was promoted into management where he managed his own branch office and oversaw all day to day operations. He later went on to hold the position of National Sales and Marketing Director for mid-sized mortgage banker, where he oversaw the monthly production and marketing of 9 branch offices located in 4 states across the Midwest and South.

In 2003, Brian and Karen relocated from Louisville, KY to Fort Myers, FL and opened Gulf American Mortgage.

KAREN CULBERTSON
Karen graduated from the University of Evansville with a Bachelors of Science degree in Interpersonal Communication. Upon graduation she worked for a short time in the Technology Consulting field before finding her true calling in the mortgage industry. Karen started her career as a loan originator, and within the first month had become the top producing agent in her office, where she remained for 2 years. She then accepted the position of VP of Underwriting, where she oversaw the processing, underwriting and closing departments in the monthly production of over 200 loans, as well as converting that firm from mortgage broker to mortgage banker.
